In an update to this article, market sources have told Creditflux that CLOs will only be part of the focus for Ming Tang and that his mandate covers esoteric CDOs in general including those CDOs backed by the types of asset-based credit One William Street already invests in. As such Tang’s hire is not intended to expand One William Street’s investment strategy into the unsecured corporate credit space and the firm is not deviating from its core investment strategy.
