Credit manager CIFC announces switch to LLC format
Listed credit manager CIFC has announced that it plans to reorganise itself as a Delaware limited liability company
I'm not a lawyer, but after reading CIFC's 8-K issued on July 28, the last word of the first sentence of your article should be "company" rather than "partnership." In the U.S., an LLP is distinct from an LLC. CIFC is reorganizing at the top level from a corporation to an LLC. Creditflux is accurate in saying that the entity will be "taxed as a partnership."
