Nomura has issued a statement in response to the article in the current issue of Creditflux "Nomura stumbles on path to credit greatness"

I like to think that Nomura will end up like another Barclays - the market will undervalue the achievement of Nomura in the same way as it has been skeptical about Barclays expansion for many years

It will be interesting to see if the old Lehman clients of Europe use Barclays or Nomura for new bond deals in the next year.

It appears as if Nomura also acquired the Lehman PR people as part of the acquisition
