The Wall Street Journal reports that a Pimco mutual fund has been one of the big early losers from Russia's currency and bond price collapse

"Investing in Emerging Markets" is one of those ideas that always sounds great but never really works. Another idea in this category is "we'll launch a JV in China to open up that huge market to our products."
